I had 100pc come in a few weeks ago and someone bought all 100. Crazy. I then placed a new order which is in process. I am guessing about another 2 weeks. The communication with them can be very slow sometimes.  :-\

Hey everyone, I just added a few useful tools to the store. The every so popular resistor lead forming jig and a thin wrench used to tighten the C&K toggles from behind the faceplate. Check em out!

Questions regarding the 508 buckets:

Afaik you are sold out of the double height side panels, so how would one go about connecting 2 buckets vertically?
Are there any brackets available so I could connect buckets vertically, preferrably also in other heights than 3 u?
Starting the preliminary designs of a console build I have in mind, and am going to use rows of different height (2 and 4 u)
And is there no back plate available (don`t think i`ll use the 508 backplane for all buckets).

Thanks and all the best,

Magnus

For different Heights you can use 1/8" Alum stock from Home Depot cut to length
like I did to make a bay of 6.375" Sphere Modules.

Hope this might help

Thanks gary, my idea is very much inspired from your thread. I dont live in the us so no home depot for me, all metric formats over here. Guess ill have to make some brackets by myself.

I have some holiday time scheduled for the end of the month. I have also posted the latest in the 511 rack metal saga in the informational banner at the store http://capi-gear.com/catalog/

Since the structure of my 500 series rack kits is changing, I am selling the last 9pc of the 11 slot backplanes individually. Once these are gone, they will not be brought back so if you'd like to cobble your own rack kit together, here ya go!

Currently for channels 1-8 its either XLR or DB25 but no combination. If enough people ask, I may do an XLR in DB25 out version. I will likely never have a version that supports both connectors at the same time for all I/O's.

I am currently not doing a 51x version, only VPR. It seemed to confuse more of my customers than it helped. I know Volker is continuing on with the 51x format and I believe Cemal also has a version.

Jeff,

I just purchased one of the remaining 511 VPR pcb backplanes from your CAPI website.  I'm rolling my own back XLR panel (and 511 rack).

Can you provide the X and Y stepping distances for the Neutrik XLR cutouts  (including the 5 pin power XLR) that match the pcb layout?

I've got the Neutrik mechanicals for them.  So I just need the stepping distances.

Regards,
Jeff
