SO about every two weeks I plug in the word "vintage" into the Craiglist search and see what pops up...this weekend I managed a bit of a score...

1960-ish Supro Thunderbolt Chassis...$60.00 had to drive about an hour out of my way to get it (really off the path mountain community and the former owner did not have a car, small town, no Fedex so shipping was gonna be way expensive)...

He had taken it to a friend to wire it up...bought a new power tranx for it and new caps...everything is pretty much there...

Really nice guy new baby, so needed cash...

Looks like I have found a cab and speaker as well...original Jensen 15...

Yeah I have had some luck over the years with craigslist. I got my calrec c2 desk off there for 500.00(USD) it had 24 mono mic line channels and 12 stereo channels. I won't disclose what I sold it for down the road but aside from the money I am still kicking myself for letting it go. It was a nice little desk.

Nice find!

I'm not a big CL fanatic, but I found a pair of Tek 2215 sillyscopes on there from a guy up the street for about half what they were going for on ebay.  8)

I had to drive an hour but got my first analog scope from a guy for $75.00...came in a solid walnut box he had made for it, the probes were still in the original package had never been used (possibly a second set though) it was his father-in-laws personal home scope who was head of R@D for IBM in Europe...Tektronix 2213 with original manuals and even the sales brochure form the 70's...I still use it.
