I was looking for new-stock on the Dako-ware knobs (pultec etc). Are they still in business or does anybody know of a knock-off company?

Many thanks

looks like a group order done by the ampex mailing list. see here for subscription info:

I adore those skirted knobs. What could be better for an old-school mixer? By the way, those knobs are also known as "Collins knobs" since they were used on Collins radio equipment. When originals turn up on evilBay, they're usually snatched up by Collins restorers. I know that some guys with molding equipment were homebrewing small quantities of replicas; it's good to see that Davies Molding is making a version now.

cayocosta (ron) posted in the black market that he had bought some dakaware knobs from this seller on eBay:

the price isn't too much higher than the ampex list group buy, so it might be worth contacting this seller. it looks like he's selling new dakaware knobs from the buckeye factory.

Does somebody know where to get original looking bypass switches?

Maybe we can collect some manufacturer or supplier links here for all knobs?

heres what i'd found:

What about a RAL colour number of the frontpanel? More and more building-centers can mix nearly every RAL colour code.
Maybe someone has informations about this niice colour?

Regards,
Frank.
