I just got 244 digital reverb wich does not make a sound :(
PSU is ok +/-15v and 5 V
but on levelmeter all lights are on and there is no sound thru
when I switch it on Red led on front blink once and thats it...

anybody with schematics of digital/analog pcb...an idea...

beast is like new ..

Hi Roginator,
The solution is here : remove all chips, have a GOOD desoldering station to remove ALL chips sockets, resolder good quality sockets, reinstall the chips : your 244 will work again for years.
This is my experience with several 244/245.

whell I changed allmost 40% of IC sockets today....
I hate texas instruments IC sockets and ICs...

I have to clean all ics and replace all sockets....

this is not first time I have this problem with texas instruments....same was in URSA 8x32, Oberheim OB8 and Linn.......I just hate old Texas instruments ICs and Sockets

so far I recaped it and changed about 60 IC sockets and cleaned ICS...

PROBLEM ARE RUSTY OLD TEXAS INSTRUMENTS ICS....they sucks big time....and ALSO texas instruments IC sockets are S...T

WHELL I TokE A PART ONE OLD IC SOCKET FROM CPU BOART IN 224 and ...JESUS

totally green contact and black IC PINS...NO WAY THAT CAN WORK....SO I BELIEVE THAT IN SERVICE THEY CHANGE COMPLETE CPU BOARD BECOUSE OF THIS PROBLEM AND WHEN THEY HAVE TIME (AND IT TAKE A LOT TIME TO CHENGE allmost 135 SOCKETS)
they repair it by changing sockets and cleaning IC pins.....I gues

thanx guy_4
I hope soon my 224 will work

Hi Roginator,
Yes, for sure it is both time consuming and boring
But it a proven solution to return EMT244/245 to life.
Of course, also change the electrolytics on the power supply, put a new fan ( or install one if there is not one already) and you'll have a better-than-new great reverb.
Good luck !

I'm experiencing exactly the same problem with my 244, all signal LEDs lit, including the "register" overload light...

Did you ever finish replacing all those sockets and did that  get it working again?
