Boss Looper RC1 $22 DC jack?

Anybody have any idea why they use a double normal jack on this pedal? I can't locate any schematics and have no idea what's the point. Unfortunately, the jack is broken in pieces, it's hard to decipher what's mechanically going on.

Any info or insight greatly appreciated. I searched some on the major distributor sits but nothing like it so far.

I don't know what you mean by "double normal jack"...
Those jacks have a switch in the contacts so that when you insert the plug it cuts the power from the battery.

The Boss RC2 has a DC input jack that incorporates 2 switches, so presumably this is the same on the RC1.

As you say, unlike just about every other pedal out there.
Don't think you have much choice, mate.
