Why is the OP not able to delete his/ her thread. Why was the right impinged upon. Is it a form of Stalinism?

I don’t know about you but it’s been that way as far as I can remember. This is even if no one has replied yet.

You can delete your own posts to a thread but I do not recall ever being able to delete and entire thread.

Deleting the first post in a thread would delete the entire thread so is generally discouraged. I could delete it for you, but then we wouldn't have your optimistic message.

Odd that people would see Stalinism in forum software. Perhaps it is seen everywhere.
