I am planning on a detented volume knob and need a bit of advice since I am new to electronics.
I got this http://store.triodestore.com/4pol24posals.html after searching the archives of the forum. NYD mentioned this rotary switch in one thread. So, I compared this one to the ELMA switches, which I can't afford, and saw that the ELMA only has two tiers where to solder the resisotrs. Should I connect the two inputs to one tier, the outs to the second, and so on?
BTW, I couldn't find any specs on the alps website but thi is a 2KOhm switch.
