Have used these for the 10uF caps in the JFP/Fetboy but haven't completed it yet. Fabio uses these types as well, maybe he has listened already.

They left out phatt!!!!

phatt - used by clueless white teenagers to deny their vapid suburban backgrounds when trying to be accepted by their cool black friends. Original meaning is unknown.

Wow that glossary is great! Now I'll never be embarrassed again at Stereofooile shows!

Except---he left out the crucial "pace, rhythm, and slam."

Frank Kelly was renowned for finding a pregnant phrase when hearing equipment. I think it was about a speaker that he was reported to have said "I hear a hint of a jelly-like grunge in the upper midrange."

I don't know Mr. Kelly, but is he from the UK per chance ?

No. But I don't know him very well (I interviewed with him for a position at Harm*n in late 1989, and we had a barely nodding acquaintance thereafter). He worked for UREI before and after their acquisition and subsequent submersion  by the Empire. I believe he is still working around the L.A. area.
No.
My question was a bit lame...
but the UK-trip this summer amazed us again at the kind of words used to describe stuff - best example perhaps was to hear that some 'hooligan'-type of bloke wasn't thinking, no he was living in the assumption that... elegant ! amazing ! the jelly above reminded me of it...
Anyone with experience with the current Evox-Rifa
capacitors used in audio apps, powersupplies, filters etc?

kkrafs
Evox-Rifa caps are OK.

used them rifa all over my gssl in work...
I will post the first hearing experience...heard other ones before (made with wima)...
But i will use my "sound is colors"-Glossary... :!:
dbx 160 sounds powerful red, modded 3630 sounds dark deep red on black, EMT266 sounds green-turqoise, green MK I sounds very dark blue (with a slight green touch), valley gatex sounds deep blue, spl vitalizzer sounds violet...
No, i'm not smoking that stuff for years...i'm seeing the color of a sound closing my eyes with a cold-blooded and rational state of consciousness

Go for them, kkrafs.

Kind regards

Martin
