Excellon type drill file?

Farnell has a CNC PCB drill kit for sale (quite a lot of money so I probably won't buy it). The manual says that the software "Accepts standard Excellon Drill files". What is that? I can't export to excellon from Traxmaker or any of the other PCB making softwares I have. Can anyone explain what this is?

IIRC, the drillfile generated by a gerber-plot is in Excellon format...?
