Exchanging EQ card in SSL FX G383

Hi guys,

I recently acquired a SSL FX G383 Stereo EQ and am interested in mounting a 242 "black EQ" card in one of the channels instead of the existing 292.
It´s hard to find definitive info online, and I was hoping to maybe get some hints about it from you.

Is this a direct replacement swap or do I have to do some soldering to get it working?
I especially noticed that the 292 features some flat cable connectors which are missing on the 242...
I have already started to compare the schematics, which I both have, and they look very similar in their connections except for the flat cables.

I would be very grateful about any info you could share with me.

For anybody wanting to do this, I found this page of a manual on eBay:

I bought a separate channel of E EQ in the meantime, so I´m not planning to do this anymore, but maybe it´ll help someone else.
