any one know if they are any good ? i figure for the money i might grab one any way .

it's not a low-distortion type - but is still much better than not having a test oscillator.

thanks for that jakob , i'm still a bit of a newbie to all this and figured it wasn't going to be the best in the world for that sort of money , but as you say better than the nothing i've got at the moment.

I have a 'variable phase oscillator' from the same range. I re-capped it when I got it so I could forget about maintenance. From what I remember, it uses pretty high quality components inside - decent pots / caps etc.

edit - auction claims 20v P-P, which is about 7v RMS - bargain for £35 I say.
