I see you enclosed the power trafo in the same manor as your 1176 build. How has that been working out for you. I would imagine it makes the power supplies whisper quiet.
 
Yeah I have been having no PSU noise problems. One less thing to troubleshoot.

Its an old Par-metal that I trashed while trying to build the Chae's Neve-ish PreAmp. So I have been just cutting that up and making use of it.

Glad you used the neon lamp for the power light - I love the old school vibe that brings to the project.

For anyone else having trouble with the power trafo wiring, there is another thread dealing with this issue, where we've laid it out wire by wire for the Amveco 62082.
