Here is a couple old style boards what I made. I am planing to build one 4-chanell mic preamp with name "FIONE" - Four In ONE. One Neve, API, Langevin AM16 and one named "I dont know" :roll: (I havent board and parts). I am thinking about Green, SSL, maybe F110 or AMEK. I make one PSU +24V with +48V for Neve and Langevin and one bipolar +-15 or 18V for API and other (???) with use +48 from first.
Any suggestion about options or spare boards to finish this?
Neve BA 283 like in 1272. I made two boards. Still missing some small parts.
Thanks Thomas for a lot of styros, transistors, transformers, gain switches, etc.
Also thanks to Frank who sent me two 2N3055 for test.
This is too old style API board. I will use Jensen JT-110K-HPC and Profile 4804. Still missing 22KNeg Log pot or resistors (which value I cant find).
I will check both OpAmp what I made and one original 2520 (thanks Seth!).
Thanks to Mike from EDAC who sent me Card Edge Connectors for both Neve and API
This is 2520 board what I made with a little help from Fabio.
Here is Melcor from Peter C. I moved Q1 and Q2 on the midlle. Transistors will be back to back with some paste between and ring around both. Missing a pair of small parts. I mached Q1 and Q2
I used one nice Antex solder iron and «third hand with magnifier».
Thanks to Frank for Mil-Max sockets and pins and nice knobs (unfortunately big).
If you have some notice and critic I am only musician who loves electronic.
And I cant forget. With my friend who help me I wouldnt do it :sam: :sam:
