Hi all
I am working on a trident fleximix module (or a few) and saw some posts re: design error on the mic amp.

http://groupdiy.com/index.php?topic=14618.0 (see last post)

i found info on a "fix for this varying load that causes "undershoot and ringing"  anyone care to help me clarify the wording of this "fix"

couple of trace cuts to turn the stage into a non-inverting design and load it (transformer) with a fixed 100k resistor... also reverse tranformer leads to remedy the phase reversal

would this mean simply switching the leads on IC1 pin 2 and 3 and wiring a 100k resistor across the transformer secondaries

I'm working on a Fleximix for a ex work friend, and have the same question as the original poster, who unfortunately
didn't get any replies.
My friends' mixer has had all the transformers robbed from it before he got it (he did know this!) and he's asked me to fit a couple of Sowter clones
to see if it is worth doing the rest.
Is my attached assumption of the mod correct, and if so, do I need to do both stages, or just the first stage.

If my math is correct (always a danger), the gain of the first stage of the original is -14dB min to +20dB max.
Changing to non-inverting changes the gain to +1.55dB min to +21dB max, so it will now not cope well if one
wanted to run a line level signal through it for colouration purposes.
