This is my first post !!
I'm looking to build a G7, not bought donor mic/body yet.
I'm wondering what is the difference is between buying the Fox circuit mod kit....or getting a pcb and adding my own components?
or is it a lot cheaper buying separate components ??    is one gonna sound better than the other?

Welcome, Nelly!

Although it ain't necessarily so, your name suggests you might be a female.
Those are few and far between here.
Which is a shame really.

Anyway, carry on.  :)

If the capsule is not included in 214 € it will be cheaper buying the components separately

The G7 is a different circuit so they will likely sound different

The Fox circuit is probably as good designed as the G7 , the main difference will depend on the quality of components you gonna use, capsule, tube and transformer in particular

After thinking about it more, gonna get PCB and components myself, Your right, the components can be top quality that way.
I have ordered a campbell CT12 capsule, looking forward to building a top  Valve Mic

I could build it, but not test it !! Not got skills ,but I'm good with diagrams and soldering! Had gone off idea....looked at S/h mics ....but so expensive...so looking for a local engineer(brighton) to build it for me....cost dependant of course !!
Dont really wanna electrocute myself ,or worse still.. blow the Tim Campbell capsule up,before even heard it . Lol
