Just got some pictures from Peter from our roadtrip to Gyraf.

I ordered a front plate, made a bunch of wires and components stick on to some PCBs and bought some knobs. Jakob made it come to life.

I forgot to bring all my knobs, but the black one will be replaced by a blue. (as if that makes it better  )

Im currently trying to make a red frontplate with white polkadots for a stereo Calrec EQ. If it doesnt work out I might try something a little more conservative for that one

I think, that giant meter will suck all the current that poor little transformer can produce and will kill it. :green:

I remember a bass pre amp which had a cigaret lighter (one you have to push and when it's ready it pops out, like in a car) on the frontpanel.
You've got some room left so I thought....

Hehe..
I must admit, even though it didnt exactly turn out like I had imagined it - I really like it ! Its also a good conversation piece.

"What the hell is that?"
"its a compressor!"
"who made that?"
"I did!"
"wow. What are you gonna use it on?"
"Probably the drums"
-Nervous smile from drummer.

About the space. I have a lot of rackspace for a small studio, so the more units the DIY stuff takes up, the less units I will buy to fill it up, and the happier my girlfriend will be

Just you wait till the next one

If you had enough rackspace it was a good decission to make that big frontplate.
At least you don't have to spend money on those FunkLogic front panels from Mercenary to impress people.
Although a 3P-III Palindrometer? or a Algorhythmic Prosecutor? is always a good adition.

"Gustav, you won the race for the biggest Meter!"

And also the highest bigbox/unusedspace ratio. At least you will have no heat problems.
