Are you talking about the little, original 1272 enclosures or some newer 19" stuff?

Just had a look on the White site, seems these are active balanced input, the transformer option is for isolation. I'm sure the output transformer module is 1:1, but most power amps can accept a single ended source without problem
original 1272 enclosure, a friend had me use the guts to build him a rackmount preamp...

more and more tempting on the 4400 yeah adding transformers is always an option. Wouldn't happen to know the required ratios. I am still debating these. I have too much stuff...
