G7 build - Pedestal for mount - advice

Hi all,

I just received my C12 capsule from Tim for my G7 build.  Very excited to finish this mic now..

I need a good way of mounting the capsule ( I have the mounting bracket with the capsule from Tim ) onto a pedestal of some sort - which will attach to the phenolic ring at the top of my mic assembly.


I thought about just using a plastic standoff rod - would this be suitable - or any better ways to make a pedestal fro the mount and capsule ?

Why not get something like this (at the bottom of the page):

Seems like you should be able to replace the saddle with the one you got from Tim.

Microphone-parts may also have one for sale, but I couldn't really find it on their web site.
