..thinking about the G9 as "rock in Dial" DI box for my Daw i have some questions to the community out here..
1.reliability , : is this unit wasting its tubes to fast for all the time use?
2.should i change the upper gain settings a bit due to line level use only (want to leave out the input iron..) - hitting the first stage way to hard or is it just right for the rich harmonics i am looking for..?
3.I have a very good tube power trannie already with 2 times 13.8 v at 1A
and 2 times 250 v at 150mA.. are the 13.8 enough for rectifying&stabilizing the Heater-supply or do i hve to go tricky here?

So.. hope that this is not double posting , i lost this post already in the data jungle..

Ok..thanks for your suggestions so far..
some questions just for learning.. does i see right the lamp between the 2 heater output 10uf caps forms a c-r-filter for hi cut (noise) at about 63hz
?or is the cut freq even deeper cause of the following 10uf? (should be much deeper??? and maybe the lamp is also setting the minimal output resistance for the regulator??
so what happens if the lamp fails , other than maybe some noise on the heaters?-just trying to understand a little more...
