I am hoping to find a decent sweepable SIDECHAIN filter (to add to a few compressors I am working On).

Ideally, this would allow me to cover different areas of the signal and boost or cut. But, I don't need anything fancy.

However, as I come from the Synthworld where most EQ is simply a resonant Filter, I am not quite sure
which TYPE of filter is ideal (bandpass? notch?)

any advice on circuits to look at, or links, etc highly appreciated.

thanks

thanks

however...this just looks like a high pass filter to me.

i guess i was looking for advice on a more flexible filter...maybe a good decent bandpass with cut and boost.

what i am trying to figure out is whether a state variable approach might be good? or is there a dead simple way of doing this

Clearly, what you're looking for is a semi-parametric. You may want to check, in addition to variable-state, a Wien-bridge EQ or a phase-shift EQ. I reckon Wien-bridge is the easiest
