I've bought 4 M49 mic bodies, 2 power supplies, and a couple of yokes from Jenny at SSY Electronics, over three orders, and everything arrived looking beautiful, with the exception of a slight mesh tear for the very fine mesh on one headbasket. I sent a picture to them and they replaced it with one that was perfect. Everything gets to my location in like three days. Anyway, just wanted to plug them. Easy communication . . . Jenny is rad.

Hey JW
I take it that "rad"means something good/positive in Oregon.😉
But yes, same opinion here. Got parts to France really quick and perfectly packed.
Like Christmas presents packs and small hand written labels... Amazing!

The Yoke, Mic Body, Capsules & old style PSU (I want one in Hammer paint) all in perfect shape.
This is an order for a friend and fellow GDIY member, to build a Mic.
But Wow, might buy more of these for myself next time!! Need more cash!

A pic or two is worth a thousand words.

Today, I ordered Jenny's C414 clone bodies. Bought two silver ones (parts only) and two black ones (complete). The silver ones are probably the same ones as sold by Mic&Mod and Vamisound, aren't they? These have a three pattern switch. The black ones have a five pattern switch.

I'll build the mics for my son, who will mainly use them as overheads or on instruments. He wants versatile, neutral sounding, easy to EQ mics which could possibly replace his C414 B-ULS mics, as they have become a too expensive asset to use on places where mics get "lost". I'm not sure yet which capsules to use, though. Assuming the headbaskets add little "color" (am I right?), @soliloqueen 's flat K47 was the first one that came to mind. Anyone care to comment on this choice? I know it's not a "historical right" choice, but my son and I don't care about that. Each time we hear recordings made with the K47F, we are impressed by the natural sound!

And btw, up to now, Jenny was a pleasure to do business with!
