Hello hello, dear gear geeks! So, it all started with me selling an akg p 220 to my friend about 8 years ago or so and forgetting about it. Recently I moved to his place and wile we were recording something I recognized that mic on the shelf an asked if he ever recorded anything good with it. And he told me, hey actually it doesn't and never did work properly. That confused me completely, like honestly, I remember I recorded a vocalist a week before I gave it to him and it sounded clean, ok... So we started checking and rechecking, the whole thing doesn't worth the time we spent already, so we agreed to modify and upgrade it once we fix it... But the problem is it's still dead. No signal what so ever, the only thing from it is clipping when you move the xlr cable. Strange, no idea. Nobody dropped it on the floor, nothing happened to it. We opened it, all looks clean an attached properly, visually there's no defects... Any ideas, what to start with?
