Gyraf Audio HPAmp question

I am building hp amp from Gyraf Audio and I have alps blue 50k pot.

Is it OK to put 50k pot instead of 10k like in the schematic?

I'm no Gyraf but a 50k pot should work, more or less.

The taper will be loaded down a little more than with 10k pot but not much.

I was not aware that Gyraf had a headphones amp design. I cannot find any info on it their web site. Is there a link to more info on it?

Built one myself a few years ago. Works great. I think I just had Jakob email me what I couldn't find. It hasn't been on the website for a while.
There's not much. Just that schematic and a PCB layout.

He posted that here too on request I think, it´s in the DIY section of his site, it´s my go to headphone design (with +15/-15V too), no metaphysics, just good power and clean sound, drives everything I ever connected...

Sounds really good. Just be careful with the led selection to adjust proper current

Whats the circuit purpose of the 2 red LEDS?

..the red-led forward voltage is just right to forward-bias the BD135/136 output pair into the ~25mA where they sound really good with most headphones..
