Question.
A friend has a desk that he wants some pads on the mic amps. If one adds an H pad before the mc amp, are there any issues ?
I'm thinking you probably want the pad 1200 ohms in & out, therefore the resistor values would be pretty low. Is Johnson noise an issue ?
I'm guessing there probably wouldn't be a problem with using phantom power.
Anybody got any thoughts ?
This desk is a very small custom broadcast desk, I have no diagrams or documentation. The boards are very densly packed & double sided so difficult to trace the circuit.
