Hi there!
I'm having problems with a friend's ISA 828. The main problem seems to be channels cutting in and out. I found out, that most channels show strange behaviour when switching phase and HPF in and out. If you engage phase for example the signal goes away and creeps back in slowly, but distorted and crackly. Sometimes the sound comes back sounding normal. I'm testing with an sm57 connected. It also seems to make a difference if I'm either in the 30-60db range or 0-30db range.
The preamp is connected via analog outputs with a sub db25 cable (tried different cables) to the inputs of my rme.
The digital output card has been removed.
Are there any suspects like the ribbon cable connecting the main board to the analalog outs? Cleaned the connector and moved it around while sound was gone. Didn't really change.
Caps in the power supply have been changed already.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Cheers
Max
