Heya, having a problem here with wiring this microphone I'm trying to fix. I've attached pictures of the layout for the switch. Now, I need to solder the red and white wires to the other ends of the switch, but I have no idea where they go. There are 6 solder points on the switch, and 4 are occupied by the red and white wires from the XLR input. There are 2 left, which I've labelled '1 and 2'. Could someone provide directions on where to solder the red and white wires?

So connect the 2 red and white wires to the ones already on the switch? ...This would leave 2 empty solder points on the switch, is this normal?

I think maybe someone can help you better if you give some specifics. What type of mike is this? (brand, model...) What is that part with the red and white wire?

Is this on-off switch on dynamic mike?
If so then connect red2red white2white.
Should give you signal wires shorting when switch off.
Check with ohmmeter.0 resistance between white and red when off.
When on usually something 200 ohms.
Hmm sounds normal to me.
