I was surprised a bit at the .1 A rating of the unit given the size (TO-220 device for scale). Would this only be suitable for preamp or processing sized loads or is there a small efficient power tube that could be used for a little power amp?

I was surprised a bit at the .1 A rating of the unit given the size (TO-220 device for scale). Would this only be suitable for preamp or processing sized loads or is there a small efficient power tube that could be used for a little power amp?
That guy is going to put out about 550 volts DC which might be a problem for today's tubes.
You might get away with a pair of 6CA7 tubes if they are old school run in fixed bias,

You also could build a series regulated PSU with tubes (6CA7) for your preamp. This will help drop the voltage significantly.
