anyone having any experience in how to achieve this? problem is, i can't access the inner area from behind..

thanks for the help

I just did one for my dbx160 clone. Drilled a hole the size of the led and super glued it in the back of the meter and wired it as normal. Works great  8)t

I did the same! With two LEDs, one on each bottom corner.
It was easy, like 5 minute work, but I wasn't satisfied completely. The problem with LED is that it's light beam is very focused so it didn't look as I expected. Next time I'll do it with small lamp!

Thanks for your replies!
Well considering the size of the meter, i'd think of two leds but a lamp would definitely have a warmer look..
I will drill some holes in there ;) thanks!

Some meters come apart, some don't.  If you can open it up it will be safer to drill into the back.

For better diffusion of light, scuff the LEDs with sandpaper.

Umm, these are not VU meters?
They are AC voltmeters. Hopefully that is what you expect them to be :)
