PL400 isn't "high power" amp.the construction looks very wimpy and I wouldn't use it for any sort of high power application
You're plain wrong here. Most power amps use ordinary power switches and some sort of inrush current limiters (NTCs, high power resistors) and/or low power controlled chunky relays and solid state switches.Most power amps use power switches with much more robust construction
