Cleaning up I found audioXpress articles from 2/02,3/02,4/04 called "Big Mike and the Jimmy" Tube based with good information on the design. The authors name is Paul J. Stamler.

Has anyone else read this?

I haven't read it, but Paul does some writing for Recording magazine. Seems to be a pretty knowledgeable guy.

Yep ... we threw a Paul J. Stamler article about a couple of months before the G9.

I may have included it as part of an GDIY Up-Date.
Too long ago to remember what people opinions were and Byron and I were distracted with the G9 at the time.

I'll have a dig around as see if I can find it. That may have to wait until I get home from holidays. :green:

I have those three issues as well!

This circuit looks very well thought out. I'm particularly impressed with the level of attention he gives to the design of the power supply.

I'll bet it sounds good.
