nice how did you make the bodys? I like the rounded top. What capsule?

Holy cow. Among the nicest looking DIY mics I've seen. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

I too would love to hear about how you did the bodies.

Thanks Gus and guys,(edit: by the time I read Gus' post and replied there were several others)
The bodys are 2" brass bar rail. Also the 7 pin jack is housed in a round brass bar rail end plug. I cut out the grill area so that there were just two 4" long tines sticking up, then I bent them over a form and silver soldered them at the top centre. I then had them glass bead blasted and nickle plated.
Cheers,
Freddy

Gus,
The capsule is a soundking centre terminated model from a group buy here about a year ago. Can't recall if it was called the 106 or the 102.
I'm seriously considering trying out a Peluso capsule though....

Samuel, the piano is a Yamaha.
Thank you all for the kind words.

Thanks folks,

thenovice and gus,
I just searched the soundking website and it is an EE106 capsule.Has anyone A-B'd this with a Peluso capsule? Curious about opinions...

I don't mean to just repeat what everyone else is saying... but it was the first thing that came to mind, so wow!!

They look great - if you could just make my 2 a nice deep sea green :green: :green:

Justin.

I've been lurking for over a year now and have seen many very quality projects come out of here. The abilities of the members is nothing short of astounding. I actually created this account just to say "Wow!". Very impressive.
