Strangest mix of crazy and genius I ever saw

I've been off work due to injuries, and became so bored I wired up an astable 555 circuit and a red LED on my breadboard just to watch it flash. After a little while, I put in a transistor to drive an incandescent panel lamp with interchangeable lenses, so I could watch it flash in a different color, then another when I got tired of watching that one. I know; pretty insane. Boredom can make you do some weird stuff.

But now, I suddenly don't feel so bad about it.....
