I will just jump in here and point out that not too long ago Tom Reichenbach passed away, Margaret is his widow and is filling in to help aid in the transition. Dave was out due to an illness and she was doing the best she could with the staff she had available but she's doing an excellent job in my opinion considering the nature of her filling in at work.
Tom was and will always be one of my fondest memories of starting JJ Audio. He was like a personal Yoda to me and would spend many a time on the phone with me discussing transformer design, modifications to classic designs and was just a generally fun person to talk to and I miss him dearly. Dave is also nothing short of an audio guru himself and I have definitely sent my thoughts of a speedy recovery his way.
When Tom passed away the person who received my email sending JJ Audio's condolences was David, so to see him take ill not too much later was definitely a cause for worry. But I'm glad to see he has made his way back to work, I'm hoping he takes it easy, Margaret as well.
Please treat the situation with as much patience as you can, Cinemag is a family business in blood and in spirit, much like the company I started a few years ago. When things happen or we suffer small incidents it can be difficult to find the time to keep people notified at every step of the way. I'm sure the folks at Cinemag care about their customers and filling their orders but make no mistake they are still operating in the wake of losing Tom and I'm sure their loss still resonates.
I don't work for Cinemag but I definitely consider myself someone who has worked with them over the years and I continue to recommend them and their products.
I just figured I'd provide another perspective and fill in some gaps so that there's a bit less speculation.
BTW the "old man," was Tom Reichenbach. He's the voice on the CM 2461 VS the BV8 shootout on their website. He's saying "Neumann," "Cinemag." And he will be missed. RIP
Peace
