I've had it with social media

This means I'll be hanging out here again more. I'm sure most of you will meet this news with indifference, but for me, it's important. This place was, to me, the original social media site. But lately, I've been spending way too much time on Twitter and Google+ trying to "cultivate relationships" only to discover that the vast majority of the time, I'm just shouting into a void. It's wearying after a while.

I'm hoping I can come back as a serious contributing member, now, rather than as a learner. I know a lot more about design now than I did when I started, and I think I can probably contribute a thing or two. I'll probably learn more than I contribute, but we should all strive for that, I think.
