Bonjour, I am Jean, singer from France. I like singing into an old ribbon mic, not out of snobbery, but because a good old ribbon mic + a good old preamp is the best way to record my voice (from what I've tried and heard). Initially, I was interested in modern and old microphones (at reasonable prices = before fashion) and after having tried many, and having been disappointed by almost as many, I made my choice. Old gear = need for maintenance... so knowing a good "tin welder" (preferably passionate)... and then put your foot down, and start tinkering... in short, quickly taken by the passion, even if I try to resist because I prefer to sing above all and compose... And I am here, looking for electronic diagrams of preamps that I have not yet been able to power & test... and reading the different experiences ... Nice to meet you !
