JOECHEEP compressor makeup

OK. Lots of questions today, I know...

Is 20dB makeup OK for the JOECHEEP compressor? I know people here had built it already with discreet makeup stage.

I will use Fabio Bauman´s board for the sidechain and gain reduction, but with TL074 because I have many of those.

I would say that the What Compressor is a little better, and it has a make up amp included.

I have not heard either of the comps, but I know I am more interested in the JoeCheap, just to help quench my lust for the sound (even if it is not exactly the same, it might break the OCD loop my brain has gotten in about it). Hopefully Bauman will come by and lend a hand.
