Quick question.

Will this mic have a -10dB pad switch like the original?

Thank you

We've left that out. It's the exact original circuit minus the 10dB pad.

You can see it better in the schematic.

Couple questions

1.  If buying pairs, are the capsules matched?

2.  What are the differences between the two PCBs exactly? One is labeled floating high z.  Sonically, what does this translate in to?

Thanks!!

This looks great!

Hi jrasia!

Lifting the HiZ components avoids any current leakage between components across flux or moisture which is then amplified by the FET as extra noise.

We should be cleaning our PCBs after soldering anyway, but lifting the front-end parts helps avoid noises from anything that isn't completely clean.

We don't offer matching, but the capsules are made within a tight tolerance.

No issues using these as a pair  ;)

Errrr just upgraded Scope and signal gen, going to be broke for awhile, then I see this, looks fantastic!  Hope the project stays around awhile!

Payment sent for 2. Thanks Banzai!

Thanks!  ;D

Just a note about the shipping: only EU is 122. Everywhere else is 128. Be careful not to come up short when sending payments.

Hi Banzai
Payment sent for 2 units
I'll partake in a group buy for the transformers if you get enough commitment from everyone else
Thanks!!
