I guess I should be grateful that my Korg Trinity Pro has lasted this long... but now that it's not showing up to the party, I'm missing it terribly. My main MIDI controller... and a few still usable sounds ;)

So, it boots a little differently each time I turn it on. On a good day it'll get to the point JUST before I can interact with it... it gets to the full logo and version number and then stops. Sometimes the Combo LED will lite... sometimes not. Yes, I replaced the battery. I've checked the power supply and seems good. +12/-12 and a 5v rail seem solid. All caps look fine but I haven't tested them... should probably replace them anyway. The VR on the audio/ MIDI I/O board also seems solid. I tried booting into diagnostic mode and get to the MOSS version # and nothing beyond that. This makes me nervous that something "serious" is going on. ;(

Looks like a few CPU boards can still be found online... but...
Anyone with a similar experience or other thoughts on where to look?

Thx

This is probably of little help, but I would be fault finding using the Boot to Diagnostics mode.

If this fails then yes, there is something quite serious going on.

Or not going on.
