This is the metalwork with VU meter, connectors, sockets, etc. to build an LA-2A. I got this from a friend of mine and never got around to finishing it:
The VU meter is a Sifam, brand new, and the chassis’ rack ears need to be drilled for mounting both to the chassis and to the rack. Also holes need to be drilled and tapped into the chassis to receive the two thumb screws. Thumbscrews are included (see pics).
Also included is an Allied 6K88VG power transformer for this project that is also brand new (see pics). Bakelite knobs are included though the potentiometer shafts need to be shortened a tad, so the knobs can sit flush with the faceplate.
Barrier strips, XLR’s, tube sockets and octal socket for the T4B are also included.
The unit has been painted, but not too well, and would likely benefit from being sanded or stripped and painted again.
All in all this is a useful case for a wonderful circuit, and needs only someone with a drill press and a little care to finish it off nicely.
$90 for everything. Thanks for looking.
