Well look closer at the schematics: You should have three taps. So 1:10 and what is the third? And this is not 1 primary to 10 secondary.
We have 0,31 - 2,5 and 5-> 1:8:16 am I right?

Chris

Jakob already has alot of the circuit in the 1176 clone I believe - class AB output stage etc

is it poss we can get a LA3A clone project?

this summer I was going to try this, maybe using one of these in the sidechain.

it woudl be really horrifying if they chose to use one of those slide switches too, anyone taking bets on that?

But if they didn't then it wouldn't really be a vintage reissue, then someone would complain that it sounded different and they couldn't charge as much for it.

You are correct sir, retarded is the word.

In their advertisment they should point out that the LA3A is 95% made of copper! Four transformers in there, that's good, isn't it? Improves sound and so on...

The reissue looks pretty good inside. I don't care for the F.P. though.

What input xfrmrs are those? Mine both have little Beyers in them (are those stock?). When I bought the pair (a dozen years ago) the input xfrmrs were disconnected and replaced with a 5532 diff amp board (like the later 1176). I hooked the trannies back up right away.

I doubt very much that the beyers are the original ones. But nevertheless: If they sound good, it is good...
Are they packaged in cans or open versions? I never saw a beyer without a round can around. Post photos!

Output looks like Jensen or maybe Cinemag:
