I've just had a Rode SmartLav lapel mic turn up on my desk which I can't get a signal out of. Just wondering if any one has any tips with fixing these?
After testing it on various pieces of equipment (including a smartphone, which the guide says it's designed for) there's simply no signal. My next thought is to cut off the TRRS jack it has on it and check to see if there's a break in the cable somewhere.
It's capsule is pretty tiny, so I think if that's damaged in any way there's no hope of fixing it
