hm, I have 1984 ticks.
480 ticks represent a 1/4 note.
1984/480=4,13333333
how many bars do I have at tempo 128? :D
Simple division is a tad simplistic. Think hours and minutes.
1984 = 4x480 + 64 ticks
since 64/480 is not a rational number, 64 ticks cannot be expressed as a fraction of bar
60 ticks is a 1/32 note
so 1984 ticks = 4 1/4 notes (1 bar) + 1 1/32 note + 4 ticks
