Leaded Solder...After All!

I can't find a link to a precis of the program, but a few weeks back there was a doc on the BBC about lead-free / environmentally-friendly weapons of war... I had to pinch myself it was real. They interviewed a spokesman from BAE Systems (IIRC), who explained that whilst you may wish to smash the excrement out of your opponent during the battle, once you've won and are bringing culture and democracy to the heathens you've defeated, you don't want the water source poisoned by lead or uranium. Anyway...it was a 30-min documentary about how those kind people are making state-of-the-art WMDs without lead and cadmium etc. How considerate of them!

The ROHS directive does not seem to be addressing a serious health risk. Lead paint chips, leaded gasoline perhaps, but lead solder, not so much.

Does anybody know one person injured by lead solder?
