I loved the music of this man.  In 1971 or there about I saw Leon Russell and the Shelter People.  What an infectious night of music and such a great time for music in my life.    RIP Leon!

As one who spent most of his life living in Oklahoma,  I've been a long time fan.  Back in the 1970's, I did some work at his Church Studio in Tulsa when Leon still owned it.  I am heartbroken.  RIP, Leon.
