Hi Guys,

Anyone care to shed some light on how to remove the Gain Control knobs on a Lexicon 480L? The look and Sifam collet knobs, but underneath the plastic cap, I don't seen anything to "loosen."

Maybe they just pull off, but Ohh Boy are they tight!

Also, how the heck the top PCB is supposed to come out? Drill out the rivets in the Front fan case/panel mount?

wait don't those attach to a large/long shaft and go deep in the back.  IIRC the shaft is in two pieces and connects together.  IIRC you take the shaft apart and the knob  cap comes with it.

Yes, it connects to a long plastic shaft, but it's one piece. I'm not sure it will really help as it looks more like the entire top PCB needs to come out and the front metal bracket is in the way.

You have to pull it off the Control... it was/is clued on to the plastic shaft on the "KNOB" end... it was just really tight on the PCB control.
