I need a small simple PPM meter, so I looked at the LM3916 datasheet. The schematic on page 17 looks suitable. According to the text it's for dot mode, but the chips are operated in bar mode, so that sounds a bit strange...
I need dot mode (to save power), so I tried "converting" the schematic. Here it is, including the rectifier circuit. Does it look OK?
