I'm sorry to hear that discussion turned sour  :(

By accident I recently ran into another 'fat-barrel'-homebrew-style for sale (with a bonus/sloppy polarity inversion thrown in):

No idea if this one uses BJT or FET.

Back to the DIY-ribbon-thread, it could be interesting to compare BJT & FET versions here, since that source impedance region could be addressed by both of them.

So put it in a diecast box with a couple of XLR connectors. Then you can put your name and logo on it, call it a "Cloudraiser" or "Shirtlifter" or something.

[lame joke alert] In case of the latter name then two male XLRs I assume, which is however a bit impractical...

Who has a nice kit for a cloudlifter type circuit? I'm needing to build a pair.

This one on the pic is populated with LSK170's, but the full-blown design takes 2xLSK389's.

I have only PCB's. The rest is easily available, even the damn LSK389's

I've had 20 made. I used 4 or 5 for prototyping and testing, and I'll use a couple, the rest is available for anyone interested.

This is so cool, thanks for sharing!  If you need more LSK I can help ship them to you.
