Ah, I thought fpd might be some file extension used for footprints in some PCB CAD.

If he wants a dot scale in front panel designer then it it is pretty easy to do in front panel designer. Schaeffer have some excellent helps files on their web site.

As I mentioned you can do this directly in fpd. Their web site have extensive help and also a forum of its own where you can ask questions.
