I've just received this board. It is a really good quality pcb.
Are the diodes bridges needed only for mic application as protection?

Yeah, they are part of the protection and filtering circuit.

What's the significance of the word "link" printed on the Relay 3 and Relay 6 footprints? (And on the XLR pads?) Anything I need to consider before soldering RL3 and RL6?

One more question:

I'm using this as the I/O for a stereo EQ. I would like the mid out/side out and mid in/side in to be unbalanced. Can I just ground the negative conductor, or is that going to cause problems with the THAT chips?

Or, should I remove the chips and inject the unbalanced signal at Pin 6 on the 1200 line receiver and take an unbalanced out from Pin 4 of the 1600 line driver?

I'm using this in Integrated mode. Do I need to populate U7 and U8 and the components associated with them?
