Sorry.

Got stuck to one supplyer. Thouse fancy square push button illuminated switches.
They arrived now, but they are damn uggly.

So I have to sell the kits without the switches...
This is not that fun at all.

I will look it over in the weekend and shout out a new partlist.

Great looking project, thank you for making this available. Just one question regarding the MS loop inserts, is it possible to switch the order with the push buttons or is it switching between the 2 loops? Basically I want to know if its possible to switch the order of the inserts using the push buttons - is there any order switching at all?

This is how they look like.

MS loops can only be switched 1 or 2.
Order switching will be implemented in the future.

Ok thanks for clarifying... I think I will wait for the future version when this is implemented, I think it's quite an important feature for a mastering console - a good feature reference would be something like the Manley backbone - for me I would like to see more inserts and order switching - but great work so far I look forward to building one in the future as this is something I have been looking for!

The switches don't look too bad, I like the rugged old school look of them hehe, but yeah,  they not very "pretty" :p

Hey Served ! Thank you for this beautiful work .... Do you think that the switching order feature could be implemented in this first version in the future ? (I like these PB switch by the way ;-) )

I have an offering you may be able to use as a humble substitute if it does not materialise.  (Served has not replied since December, so based on that, I hope I am not stepping on anyones toes replying to this).

No kits (yet), but maybe some day.

Hey Gustaf, been drooling over various stuff on your site for a while... a purchase is coming sometime in some form  8)

Maybe you could shed some light on the difference between this:

and your MS matrix?

When I started it and wanted to learn about MS processing, I googled "Mid Side Schematic" and found the MS portion from Waynes circuit.

I added the in- and output stage on it, pretty generic stuff using an in- and output balancing board I already did based on THAT chips, then I spent some time figuring out the level controls and the solo/bypass functions.

I would probably not have thought of (or even known of) the 1240 chips, if I hadn't found Waynes drawing in the link, so that is exactly as he did it. I thought about changing it after understanding it, but found it to be standard enough not to matter, and a shame to do so, since the chip is perfect for the task.

I made a point of not digging into his project for the addition of features not be a copy-cat, so I am not sure, but I would venture a guess that, being a lot more knowledgeable than me,  he did a higher precision design with the ability to add a lot of features, while I did a board that works with the features I wanted which is pretty take-it-or-leave it/paint-by-numbers.
